One week old and thriving. The pups gained approximately 3/4 lb each this first week, and little Green girl managed to double her weight. The others will easily double their weight by 10 days, so they are growing well. Red (previously Pink/White) girl is the small pup at 1 lb 7.6 oz. White (previously Purple/White) girl is the big pup at 1 lb 14 oz. She will be 2 lbs by Thursday. The pups are much more mobile, and making some attempts at walking. I have added some stuffed animals and fuzzy pads to the pool to give the pups more environmental enrichment. The continue to get their BioSensor exercises every evening. The last few days, the pups have been more fussy, and their weight gains haven't been as robust, so I have started offering them a bottle of goat milk as a supplimental feeding. Surprisingly, this litter is ambivalent about the goat milk, just taking a bit of milk or totally refusing the bottle. I am gradually increasing Yoko's food, she is currently eating 7 c high calorie performance kibble plus 1 hard boiled egg per day. Paws With Purpose has submitted a list of names, I just need to get them assigned.
